OUR SAUCE STORY

Rani’s Caribbean Hot Sauce Company was born out of the pure desire for an all Natural Hot Sauce.

 

Once upon a time, in the vibrant heart of the Caribbean, there was a hot sauce company like no other – Rani’s Caribbean Hot Sauce Company. It was a dream born from a simple yet passionate desire: to create a hot sauce that was not just fiery but also pure, free from toxic chemicals and artificial additives, and bursting with incredible flavour. And so, Rani embarked on a delicious journey that would eventually bring three delectable flavours into the world: Mango/Lime, Lime, and Pineapple/Lime, change with promises of more favors yo: pineapple/mango; roasted tomato and garlic and lemon/lime/cilantro. Rani’s story began in the sun-kissed days of her childhood in the former British Guyana, nestled in the heart of South America. Growing up in a bustling household of seven siblings, she was immersed in a world of authentic and aromatic hot pepper sauces, an integral part of daily life. These sauces were the secret to transforming dishes like shrimp lo mein, lamb and chicken curries, rotis, bake and saltfish, eggplant choka (smoked), fried fish, and a multitude of other culinary treasures into unforgettable feasts. This culinary tradition, steeped in Indian heritage, had been lovingly passed down through generations.

HOW WE STARTED

In the late 1970s, Rani and her family set sail for a new beginning in the United States. It was here, at a young age, that Rani’s culinary journey truly began. She couldn’t resist the urge to recreate the hot sauces of her homeland for her family, friends, and colleagues. Armed with scotch bonnet peppers, readily available in her new home, she started experimenting. Her early creations, like pepper and garlic hot sauce, and later, apple, cucumber, and papaya variations, may not have had perfect consistency, but they possessed a burst of extraordinary flavours. Rani delighted in sharing her creations, gifting them to loved ones and inviting guests to taste her hot sauces at home gatherings. The resounding feedback and clamor for more of her unique hot sauces ignited the spark that led to the birth of Rani’s Caribbean Hot Sauces. Before the revelation that the world needed a hot sauce that was not just spicy but truly sensational, Rani took on the noble task of taste-testing countless hot sauces. From Tabasco to Valentina, Frank’s Red Hot to Sriracha, none of them could satisfy her craving for the authentic, all-natural flavors she cherished.
